my injured lovie :(

OMG what an afternoon! :(

So, I decided to make an appointment with the dentist to get these crowns I had made put in my mouth permanently, because the temporary cement was not holding them in (there are 2, next to eachother) I got an appointment for 2:45, but knowing Lovie doesn't usually leave work until 3pm (but he was aware I was going to get an appt today) I decided to call and let him know (but of course this was immediately rescheduled for Thursday). Well, the meat dept. answers and tells me that he's out (at 10:30am?) so I decide to call back and speak with FIL. He tells me what happened to my Lovie-at 9:30am the saw caught ahold of his metal(?) glove, went through and just about took off his thumb. He was at the hospital getting stitches (luckily thats all he needed as it *just* missed the bone). OMG I was so nauseous and shaky. I called the hospital and the nurse was so surprisingly nice. She even gave him the phone.

He sounded so upset (not tired, not in pain). "Fucking saw" he kept saying and how this would have been more convienient in Jan, when they weren't so busy. GEEZ. I told him, none of that mattered. He told the nurse AS THEY WERE STITCHING HIM that he had to get back to work as soon as he could, because there was too much too do. She shot him a dirty look, and told him he needs to go home and get a good meal.

Lovie came home within an hour. I had made hamburgers, (icky) baked potatoes, chips, salsa, and tea. He ate everything in 10 min (not ate, scarffed LOL) and then napped for about 4 hours. He insists he is going into work tomorrow. I hope he doesn't, and that he rests. I saw his thumb--its gross.

So, now we made some meatloaf and FIL will be here in a few minutes to join us for a nice dinner. I hope he tells him to take it easy tomorrow.
